Living in Tignes
Tignes prides itself on being the center of high altitude fitness and wellbeing in the French Alps. There are amazing facilities from swimming, a gym, cinema, wellness center, snowmobiles, ice karting and more. Tignes is also home to some pretty radical nightlife too, whether you want a quiet corner of a French bar, or want to get loose as a goose in one of the many UK establishments, there really is a place for everyone. Most of all Tignes itself, hosts some big occasions, most notably the X-games. The pros visit Tignes throughout the winter when they can and the buzz around town is always present. This year Tignes also becomes the new home of the BRITS (a week of competition for the best UK riders around, not one to miss if you’re in the area) and will be hosting events such as the RN championships, the French halfpipe championships and the adaptive downhill world cup.
For the Dragon Lodge x SuperRad Winter Warm Up, you will be living in The Dragon Lodge which is a really cool venue, a real snowboarders home but with the extra bit of flare and finesse to make your holiday.
For the Young Guns Develop and Inspire, we will also be using the Dragon Lodge, using the apartments within the chalet. Using these we will have full access to the chalet and all the amenities available but be able to separate the kids when necessary. We will also have access to a private room for the kids to be kids.
For more details on the accommodation have a look through the Dragon lodge website to see how cool this place really is!
Up the hill there are plenty of restaurants to keep to hunger and fatigue away from traditional French style, burgers, chips and supermarkets close by for a quick re-fuel (we can’t promise to keep fatigue away but can do our best, you’ve got to earn your turns!)
Have a look through the Tignes tourist office website to find whatever else you might like to know.
